March 2012
The Mt Arthur Coal Scone Horse Trials was held on 10 & 11 March 2012 in glorious sunshine and fabulous conditions, despite torrential rainfall in other areas of the state last week. The event boasted over 470 entries, and held 15 classes with the Mt Arthur Coal CNC Three Star class being won by Shane Rose and Taurus. In a touch of history repeating, this pair again beat Emma Mason and F1 Pharinelli and Craig Barrett, this time on Sandhills Brilliare.
Shane also won the Robson Civil Projects CNC Two Star class on Virgil, beating Queenslander Kevin McNabb on Kelecyn Cognac and local combination Nikki Richardson and Knightrider.
Proving what a force he is in Australian eventing, Shane also won the Marsh Carney Saddlery CNC One Star A class aboard Shanghai Joe in front of Hamish Cargill (Starburst) and Jennifer Kinsella (Jimmy O'Reilly). The Scone Equine Hospital CNC One Star B class was won by Mattea Davidson riding Fairbanks Elle, ahead of Kevin McNabb (Montango) and Shaun Dillon (Glenayr Flash).
Congratulations to the prizegetters in all classes!
